#cme4me (pronounced “see me for me”) is a citywide youth perception campaign that seeks to disrupt negative perceptions of DC youth of color by providing a platform for young people to “show their truth” creatively to the community. By doing so, they become eligible for paid, creative workforce development internships and an opportunity to join “The Creative”, DC’s first youth-led media group. In this capacity, DC youth learn the art of mass communication and get to showcase their own creative voices and perspectives through TV, Radio and Print PSA ads that they develop, effectively amplifying their voices to the DC community at-large, while building marketable skills for the 21st century Creative Economy.
